The 2024 report

Prepared every three years, the NSW State of the Environment (SoE) reports on the status of environmental indicators and the pressures that are accelerating the impacts of human activities. It provides an overview of responses to environmental issues.

This report builds on the 2021 SoE report that included Aboriginal voices for the first time, and features a Voice of Country theme, developed by the EPA Aboriginal Peoples Knowledge Group, incorporating Aboriginal perspectives and knowledges for a more holistic view.

We invite you to ngarragi* – ‘to listen, learn and remember’.
